✔ Drink filter coffee

This washed Peruvian coffee is sweet and silky, with notes of vanilla, cranberry and red grape.

Sourced from a small farm in La Libertad, Northern Peru, it’s produced by second-generation farmer David Guevara Armijos. The region’s high altitude, rich soils and naturally high humidity create ideal conditions for growing high-quality coffee.

After harvesting, the cherries from the microlot are washed in fresh water, depulped, and fermented overnight. Once fermentation is complete, typically after 12–24 hours depending on the weather, the coffee is rinsed and laid out on raised beds to dry. It’s then moved to a lined patio, where it dries slowly over 7–10 days, helping to preserve sweetness in the cup.

This coffee is best enjoyed as a filter brew, which results is a bright fruit-forward cup with a silky mouthfeel.

We recommend pairing with: A Raspberry Danish

Best brewing methods:

✔ V60/pour over: brings out lighter, fruity notes

✔ Cafetiere: highlights sweetness and body

Eli N. ★★★★★

The cranberry note really comes through in a pour-over, and that vanilla hint softens the acidity just enough. Roast level 3 hits a nice balance for my morning filter brew, not too dark but with plenty of body.

Matthew ★★★★★

Brewed this as a pour-over and the cranberry note came through so clearly with a smooth vanilla finish. The medium-light roast is perfect for filter coffee, not a hint of bitterness.

Hannah K. ★★★★★

The washed process really lets those red grape notes shine through in my filter brewer—it’s bright without any bitterness. The vanilla sweetness lingers just enough on the finish, and I’ve already gone through half the bag in a week.
